| So... we -meaning me and Wendy, Karen's sis - went on this 3 hour hunt for a type of flower called "bird in paradise"... needless to say... we failed... but we got another bouquet of flowers anyways...
Hit Davis at about 5pm... damn friggin hot... ok, 90 isn't that bad but still...
Left the house around 7:45pm to the Hyatt Hotel at Downtown Sac... it was hella bling... but the food was only ok... or mine was only ok... shiet dude... $46 and I wasn't even full... ah well...
Karen was hella out of it... she had 7 shots before we even left the house! Kept banging the table and shit...it was so hilarious.
I met a lotta new people... Jenny, Linda, Jessica, Nguyen, Chris, Chadwick, and Kristin... good times. Afterwards, we went to Nguyen's place - also in Sac, and BANGIN!, btw - to change for the club... then we hit Avalon's around 12:30am... till about 2am...I felt hella bad cuz Jen and Nguyen didn't make it in... it got full... and Jessica couldn't come in anyways.. and they waited for us!! Love you guys! On another note, all of us got holla'd at at the club lolx.
Fell asleep as soon as we got home... slept in Kare Bear's living room... hella cumfy. Showered in the morning, then we hit this place in Sac town to have breakfast, "yum cha." Then Wendy and I left Davis and started our road trip home...
We stopped by Cache Creek Casino... heheh... it was hella fun... though we only played the slots and for less than an hour... I lost about $40... then at the end, ended up winning... so won about $30 today... good shit... made up for the bad dinner.
On the way back, we stopped by Chevy's in Napa for an early dinner... just got back... so tired! Gotta tutor in an hour... gonna fit in a nap...

| So... I suppose at work it was really exhausting and draining... not that I had to do much, but because of the heat... and my emotions were going haywire... I still can't believe I let a guy's words get to me like that... but at the same time, I can count on one hand how many guys I've cried over. It's interesting. My guts tell me I should let it go... let him go... he's no good for me... it's another JB incident all over again... except this time, there's no way to stay friends w/ him... at least w' JB we're back to before...so... my naive and stupid side tells me that I should get to know him better before judging on this... but how can I? When he doesn't let me get close? I can deal w/ the lies and turn the other cheeck... but I will damn well get some respect...
Anyway... so I was all down on the dumps... crying... yes, the mighty Di does have it bottled up somewhere... and now my eyes hella burn... darnit.... lol... oh wells... my emotions come and go...
Bumped into Helen and Jeff today at Forest Hill... damn, it felt like high school all over again... which is one reason I love my city so much... always bumping into someone... like JoAnn and Perriesha - my bro's friends - downtown over the weekend...
I've come to an important decision today... I've decided NOT to come back to SF and NOT to go to SFSU for my MBA... why? Actually, I'm gonna stay in Humz for that... it's the most logical choice... and I love it up there. Plus, I'll get it done faster and cheaper than down in SF anyways.
So... at least part of my life is falling into place right now... and you know what? That feels damn good. | | |
| Sooooo....I've been home for like 3 weeks now... and I still haven't seen some of you... [don't make me go down there!]
The APK thing was great... now if we can do the hike, that would be AWESOME... Jam's thinger is what... 22nd? And it's at... Milpitas I think... WTH, I'm not driving - although I would if SOMEone would just trust me w/ their cars - somewhere or other...ask the others. Like I said... the kids need to stay home...
Karen's thing is the weekend after... 29th? Yes, I suppose I will be staying overnight in Davis... depending on my ride...[yay, I get to visit the cows and see if Julia ate them all]... I wonder how many people I'll see there... seeings as how half of Lowell went there...but yea... maybe not since the actually dinner is in Sac...I suppose I could drink... since I'm not driving.
Nance will head up from SLO sometime in August I suppose... who else haven't I seen? KUYA... eh... I'll just kick his butt later.
Work is a little more than FT for me right now... so... hit me up and we'll try to get together - if only for an hour or two.

| So... interesting week...
Monday-Wednesday we'd stayed at a hotel in Dan Shui... we just chilled, shopped, took the ferry across the harbor to the other side, Bali, and went to the Shi San Hang Museum. Explored the western side of Dan Shui... got caught in a big rain storm.... before heading back home on Wednesday. Went and had dinner with my tutoree family at a Viet restaurant... [I haven't had viet food in SO DAMN LONG!]
Thursday I took Brandi to my Philosophy class. Went shopping a little...just hung out.
I'd met up with the Classical Lit people - the teacher treated us to afternoon tea - last Friday... so we were supposed to meet at 2pm... I got off the MRT [metro] at 12:30pm... then slipped in the goddamn rain... sprained my ankle... so I had to take the taxi home cuz my pants were dirty... change my clothing and then take the taxi back to school... by the time I got home that night, my ankles were swollen...
Anyway... that's ok since it was raining on Saturday too... though we went for Sushi and rented some movies at Blockbuster to watch at Grandpa's house. Sunday Michael drove me, Brandi and Kent [his friend] to KeeLung and Jiu Fen - the mountain and Northern coast of Taiwan - and we spent some time taking pictures, hiking [yes, me on my disabled ankle], and shopping. Of course, add to the couple of times Michael's driving damn near gave me heart failure, and you've got an unforgettable road trip!
I do feel better today... though it wasn't easy to drag luggages and boxes down 2 flights of stairs while trying not to put so much weight on one side.
I will be home soon... I can't wait! | | |
